Henry Winfield HOYT, the fourth child of Walter W. HOYT and Hannah (nee AUSTIN) HOYT was born on April 11th, 1845 in Fairfield, Connecticut.*

Henry was a farmer.

Rosanna (Rosa) Miller was born on March 25th, 1850 in Illinois.

Henry and Rosa were granted a divorce in 1895 at Quickville, Thomas co., Kansas on the grounds of desertion.

On April 1st, 1899, he married Margaret Dyer NICHOLSON in Glenwood Springs, Garfield co., Colorado.

Mrs. H. W. Hoyt [Margaret] passed away at her home Saturday following an illness of several years. Margaret Nicholson was born June 27, 1844 at Ascom, Westmoorland, England and came to this country with her parents when twelve years of age.

She was married July 27, 1862 to John Dyer at Clinton, Illinois. Mr. Dyer died Dec 11, 1895.Mrs. Dyer married H.W. Hoyt Apr 1, 1899 at Glenwood Springs, Colo.

The deceased has lived in this community over thirty six years. Early in life she became a member of the Christian church at Atlanta, Illinois. Mrs. Hoyt died Dec 11, 1926, and leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, H. W. Hoyt, three daughters Mrs. A. R. Craig ,Mrs. John McNelly and Mrs. Charles Brooke and one son, William Dyer all of Mesa, Colo.. The fueral services were held Monday, Dec 13, 1926 at one p.m. at the M. E church, interment was made in the Mesa cemetery. Rev. P. A Shields officiating.

Henry died only a few months later - March 23rd, 1927 in Mesa, Mesa co., Colorado. He was buried there on the next day.

Rosa's second husband was Dorland and her third Joseph Pinkerton (1909). Lived in Ill, Iowa, near Portis, Kan, Thomas Co., Kansas and Nebraska.
